Sweet Valentine's Makeup Look

Wanting to change up your makeup routine and try something flirty and cute for Valentine’s day? We have the perfect look for you. Though pink and red are the quintessential Valentines colours, most people are afraid of using colour on their eyes and prefer wearing neutrals. A colour like pink can be intimidating for eyeshadow! Let me show you how we used these pretty Valentine’s Day shades for Kyla’s latest photoshoot – in the most wearable way!

There are many variations of pink. Instead of putting on hot pink right on your eyelids, I suggest trying something like coral. It is still in the pink family but it has a hint of peach, making it perfect for any complexion. It is especially flattering on anyone with blue eyes, like Kyla.

I used this coral-pink shade on the middle to inner corners, adding some brown on the outer corner of the eye for a bit of smokiness and definition. Finally, I topped a holographic pink shimmer over the coral to add a bit of shine and sparkle. With a little added extra on the inner corners, it really helps brighten up the eyes.

I followed this up by using a similar pinky coral colour on the cheeks and a baby pink lip colour to match. I used our current lip gloss favourite from Pat Mcgrath on top for that ultra sheen. The gloss really gives the lips an extra plump look.

That is our Valentines day look – feminine and pretty! Valentine’s Day is a great time to try using a new colour in your makeup routine thats flattering on all skin tones.
